Since 2003 working group leader at the IEE in the field of power electronics/electric drives.


The research fields include topics such as parameter identification, state control for high-performance drives, load spectrum minimization with various drive concepts, identification of non-linearities, development of electronic and power electronic circuits for grid feed-in as well as the construction and operation of test benches. In addition, the department acquires direct industrial orders and is involved in the application and processing of various national and international third-party funded projects.

Contacts abroad
 Since 2013 Initiator and coordinator of the cooperation with the Japanese University Kyushu Institute of Technology in Fukuoka, especially with the laboratory of Prof. Yasunori Mitani (currently Vice President).
As part of the collaboration, an annual exchange of students and academic staff takes place.
